As I’ve been slowly recovering from an absolutely brutal semester, I’ve been working little by little on figuring out what I want to do moving forward.
My ultimate goal this summer is to build myself a website. I’ve built two websites before, one for my work and one for school. It’s fun but time-consuming. I’m not sure exactly if this is a goal I’ll be able to complete this summer as I’m also working and helping my dad renovate his house (!), but we’ll see! At some point, there will be a website!
In the meantime, I was thinking a lot about how I want to structure my presence on Substack going forward. For the sake of my own sanity, I decided to create a second Substack blog specifically for my actual writing (not the more casual work I’m posting here). This way, I’ll be able to at least somewhat separate my “blog” from my actual work, and readers will be able to easily find my writing.
I have several short pieces I’ve been sitting on for several months now (one about Wild West lesbian vampires and one about sad musicians in Kentucky) that I’m planning on releasing serially there. I haven’t posted much of anything yet, but it exists now! Feel free to check it out:
